Gedcom Publisher supports the EPUB3 format, and includes custom handling for EPUB books that will be converted to the MOBI format. It creates an e-book that includes information generated from GEDCOM data mixed with content that you provide, including text, images, and other content. Having something tied to a single user on a single PC is not ideal for larger collaborative work either. Gedcom Publisher is a unique e-book publishing tool.

Capturing acts and records, editing images, indexes, data merging, consistency checking, etc. I want my data to be transferable in terms of decades. Download free applications, games, themes, graphics, tones, and videos. I like that it is based on established standards like GEDCOM which means the data is portable. There are people on that will host it for you for a cost which also gets reinvested in the project. I host it only internally on a server in my home (for now at least) but you can host it wherever you like.
It's a web page front end and it a mature project which I find very dependable with a helpful community around it. If you're reasonably IT proficient, you can host your own instance of it on a webserver and invite only the people you want into it with levels of what they can or cannot see. GEDCOM Editor allows to inspect, create and modify Genealogy Data stored in GEDCOM 5.5 standard.
